Collection: Tracy Waite
Tracy Waite is a travelling artist and we were lucky to catch her before she left on another Journey. She is self taught and inspired by the wild beauty that is her home, Australia. Tracy's base is the beautiful WA town off Harvey, she is very well known and has a huge following in WA.
For three years Tracy has had the pleasure of filling their van with her art essentials and heading off on unknown journey's. Her and her partner ventured down many long winding roads, cementing themselves in the vastness of different Australian soils that have become the backdrop of her growing collection of canvases on her own site.
Now Tracy has gone on yet another Journey...... another creative direction.... one she has been wanting to go on for sometime. She had this collection that she has painted especially for us, trying to make its way to canvas, and now it has! We are so excited and grateful to have it exclusively at Mandi at Home. As we have launched it on New Years day and its our first Collaboration we have called it "Celebration". Stay tuned for more of the "Celebration Collection" and new collections ahead!
The Protea is the star of this range at the moment and here is what Tracy had to say about it and why she chose to draw it.
My love of Protea has been something that I have expressed, in paint a hundred times...In this new series I deconstruct the object of my affection, to uncover the beauty that hides within. Protea... my abstraction distraction, full of lashings of texture and sumptuous colour... I never tire of seeking ways to express the beauty that she possesses ,to her core.
Alas, her love for Australian Beauties does not stop with the Protea and there could be a Banksia and other Beauties woven into this collection in time.
