Rachel Castle of Castle and Things has over 30 years of experience in the homeware industry in both Australia and the UK. She is solely responsible for turning Castle and Things into the lifestyle brand it is today, as each piece is handcrafted by her in her Sydney workshop.

In the past, she has worked with the likes of West Elm, Freedom, Zanui, and Williams Sonoma, and now continues to create bespoke products for her own store.

Rachel’s signature style is rustic, natural, unique and handmade. She’s inspired by nature, raw materials, and the simple things in life.

Her artworks are produced through a process of painting, screenprinting, and the added use of hand sewing, which Rachel has developed to create a distinct and unique look.

The aesthetic of each piece is built around the word "FUN". Motifs like pizza, doughnuts, and sheep are often used to inject a sense of hilarity into her work. She hopes that her customers can escape their everyday lives and have a little giggle when they see her products.
